LED coil - illuminates during transmission 

The PNI LED 850 Tiltable CB Antenna is the continuation of a new line of CB antennas, designed to make the use of the CB band unique.

The antenna guarantees superior communication performance and improves visibility to the maximum.

The antenna coil is equipped with diodes that emit light when crossed by radio frequency. The coil turns on automatically when the radio transmits, thus also indicating the correct operation of the equipment.

Antenna length 85 cm

The 850 PNI LED CB antenna with a length of 85 centimeters helps transmit and receive in the CB band over a distance of up to 10 km (under ideal conditions, without obstacles).

Factors influencing communication distance:
» Antenna length: longer antennas will have a longer transmit and receive range.
» Mounting location: the higher the antenna, the better the range.
» Installation quality: installation mistakes will result in a high SWR value and limited range.
» Surrounding relief: the surrounding relief plays a huge role in determining the range. Obstacles such as buildings or mountainous areas will limit the range.

Possibilities of use

The antenna can be mounted either on a PL magnetic base or on a fixed bracket purchased separately (for example: PNI SPA100, PNI SPA125, PNI L21).

Test the SWR in an open area using a reflectometer. In certain cases, you may need to lift or shorten the wire to achieve an optimal SWR value.

For optimal results, we recommend that this procedure, called calibration, be performed by specialized personnel.

Note: PNI antennas are factory calibrated on the 27.225Mhz (channel 22) frequency.
