LED coil - illuminates during emission

The PNI LED 850 foldable CB antenna is the continuation of a new line of CB antennas, designed to make the use of the CB band unique.

The antenna guarantees top-level communication performance and improves visibility to the maximum.

The antenna coil is equipped with diodes that emit light when radio frequency passes through them. The coil automatically lights up when the radio transmits, thus indicating the correct operation of the equipment.

Antenna length 85 cm

The PNI LED 850 CB antenna with a length of 85 centimeters helps transmission and reception in the CB band over a distance of up to 10 km (in ideal conditions, without obstacles).

Factors influencing communication distance:
» Antenna length: longer antennas will have a greater transmission and reception range.
» Mounting location: the higher the antenna is mounted, the better the range.
» Installation quality : installation mistakes will lead to a high SWR value and limited range.
» Surrounding terrain: Surrounding terrain plays a huge role in determining range. Obstacles such as buildings or mountainous areas will limit range.

Possibilities of use

The antenna can be mounted either on a PL magnetic base or on a fixed support purchased separately (for example: PNI SPA100 , PNI SPA125 , PNI L21 ).

Test the SWR in an open area using a reflectometer. In some cases you may need to raise or shorten the wire to get the optimal SWR value.

For optimal results, we recommend that this procedure, called calibration , be performed by specialized personnel.

Note: PNI antennas are factory calibrated on the 27.225Mhz frequency (channel 22) .

Compatibility

The PNI T601 cable can be used to mount a PL type antenna.

Length

The cable length is 4m, allowing you to mount the antenna wherever it is convenient for you on the vehicle and still be able to connect to the CB radio station.

RG58 cable

The cable used is of the very high quality RG58 coaxial type with maximum performance in terms of transmission and reception.
