The CB antenna LEMM Vortex 3000 PL with a length of 200 centimeters helps the emission and reception in the CB band at a distance of up to 15-20 km (under ideal conditions, without obstacles).

Factors influencing communication distance:

• antenna length: longer antennas will have a greater range than shorter antennas,
• mounting location: the higher the antenna is mounted, the better the range,
• installation quality: installation mistakes such as lack of grounding will result in high SWR and limited range.
• Terrain: The surrounding terrain plays a huge role in determining range. Obstacles such as buildings or wooded areas will limit the range.

PL type connector

The LEMM Vortex 3000 PL has a PL threaded mount. The antenna can be fixed using a magnetic base (eg PNI 145/PL 145mm), a fixed support and a connecting cable (eg PNI T601).

• connect the antenna to the attachment.
• test the SWR in an open area using a reflectometer. In some cases it may be necessary to raise or shorten the wire to obtain an optimal SWR value.
• connect the PL259 jack on the end of the antenna cable to the antenna jack on the back of the station.
