The LEMM Vortex 3000 PL CB antenna with a length of 200 centimeters helps transmission and reception in the CB band over a distance of up to 15-20 km (in ideal conditions, without obstacles).

Factors that influence communication distance:

• antenna length: longer antennas will have a greater range than shorter antennas,
• mounting location: the higher the antenna is mounted, the better the range,
• installation quality: installation mistakes, such as lack of ground, will lead to a high SWR value and limited range.
• Terrain: The surrounding terrain plays a huge role in determining range. Obstacles such as buildings or wooded areas will limit range.

PL type connector

The LEMM Vortex 3000 PL has a PL thread mount. The antenna can be fixed using a magnetic base (e.g. PNI 145/PL 145mm), a fixed support and a connecting cable (e.g. PNI T601).

• connect the antenna to the mounting accessory.
• Test the SWR in an open area using a reflectometer. In some cases you may need to raise or shorten the wire to get the optimal SWR value.
• connect the PL259 plug at the end of the antenna cable to the antenna jack on the back of the station.
