The PNI PMR R18 is a communication tool at anyone's fingertips. The use of the PMR 446MHz frequency does not require a license and is available for both business and personal use in most countries in the European Union.

PMR walkie-talkies are commonly used for recreation, during outdoor activities, on construction sites or for communication inside the same building. Depending on the surrounding terrain, the range can vary from a few hundred meters (in the city) to several kilometers (open landscape). In addition, PMR446 stations can also be used by radio amateurs and radio enthusiasts, as an experimental band, without a license.

The PNI PMR R18 uses 16 PMR channels (8 + 8 pre-programmed), scans all frequencies within a maximum radius of 10 km , vocally notifies various functions, monitors the current channel, transmits and receives efficiently.

The FM radio function keeps you in touch with the world wherever you are.

Programmable functions

The functions of the PNI PMR R18 station can be customized using the programming software ( PNI PSR18 programming kit is purchased separately). You can customize functions such as Time Out Timer, Squelch level, voice prompt, energy saving, VOX or Scramble. You have 50 CTCSS codes and 105 DCS tones for private conversations.

The PNI PMR R18 is 100% protected against dust and sand and the station has been tested for operation for at least 30 minutes while underwater (submerged up to a maximum of 1 m).

FM Radio Function

The PNI PMR R18 radio station is equipped with an FM tuner that allows the reception of FM radio signals. This tuner is designed to scan and capture the FM radio frequencies available in a given area. Users can choose the desired frequency to access the different FM radio stations. This can be done manually, by entering the frequency or by using an automatic scanning function of the available frequencies.
