The performance of the product is closely related to the technical characteristics that the antenna has in ideal conditions of assembly and use: SWR < 1.2, maximum applied power 600 W (at the tip), impedance 50 Ohms, stainless steel, etc.

Communication distance

The communication distance is another decisive factor in the acquisition and use of a CB antenna. The maximum communication distance of 15 km or even more is achieved in ideal working conditions: calibrated antenna, open field without obstacles, station with the maximum legally permissible power of 4W and with a standard reception. Any obstacle such as hills, mountains, buildings, walls can lead to a decrease in this distance.

Antenna length

The length of the antenna is another very important factor that can influence the communication distance in traffic. Thus, the longer the antenna, the greater the communication distance/range.

Compatibility

The Sirio Megawatt 4000 PL CB antenna is compatible with any PL magnetic base from Midland, PNI or Sirio.

This antenna can also be mounted on a fixed bracket such as PNI T941 or PNI L1, SP-S stainless steel (along with the PNI T601 cable).
